1. Adult Education Classes and Programs:

  • Held on a regular basis to include:
    1. Health screenings
    2. Community Safety
    3. Emergency preparedness
    4. Exercise for seniors
    5. Arts and crafts

2. Assisted Living Activities:

  • Staff personnel will assist residents with activities of daily living. Las C.A.R.E. will also assist in arranging In-home Supportive Services, and provide linkage to area medial and social services providers as necessary.

3. Computer Education

  • Computer classes will be taught to all interested residents at the on-site computer center. The goal of computer education is to empower the seniors and support increased education and independence.

2. Service Coordination

  • Quality social services are being provided to the senior residents at the on-site community center. Their role is to help senior residents obtain needed supportive services from the community, and enable them to continue living as independently as possible in their homes. Specifically, the Service Coordinator implements and supervises supportive services, education and health programs.

  • Group Activities (i.e. games, videos)

4. Financial classes to develop residents' money management skills (checking and saving accounts), helping them manage and maintain their income, thereby ensuring financial stability.

  • Credit and financial counseling
  • Debt and housing counseling
  • Training and education on the wise use of credit
  • Development of finance knowledge
